Pleasant River Lumber produces 85 million board feet of spruce dimension lumber annually from our central Maine site located in the town of Dover-Foxcroft. We are a family-owned facility with four generations of experience in the forest products industry. The Dover facility was purchased in 2004 and since then has been extensively modernized. Equipment has been added to increase efficiency and production ensuring that we remain competitive in the market. Future projects are in the planning stages to improve and update this facility, and plans of expansion elsewhere are on the horizon.
We have chosen to use this site to display some of our equipment and people and provide information on who we are and how to contact us. We will be expanding the photo album and plan to eventually have a picture tour of the entire process, from how the trees are harvested, to where the lumber is used, to how the byproducts are used. We will not spend a lot of time telling you how good our products and service are, we prefer to allow them to speak for themselves. Would you really be more likely to buy our lumber if we told you how great it was on a website?
